Malachite is a semi-precious stone known for its vibrant green hue and mesmerizing circular patterns. Its name derives from Ancient Greek. malakhé, meaning “mallow,” in reference to the color of the leaves of the plant with the same name. But beyond its natural beauty, malachite has for millennia been a symbol of protection, power, and healing. in many cultures.
Africa, particularly the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), holds some of the richest malachite deposits in the world. In this region, the stone is hand-extracted by artisans who carry on ancestral know-how. At Artisan'All, we collaborate with these artisans to offer unique and ethical pieces, with full respect for both natural and human resources.
Malachite captivates with its natural circles, swirls, and streaks, ranging from pale green to very dark, almost black shades.
